Start Date

Program begins the second week of school – the Tuesday after the Labor Day Holiday. Registration is the first week of school.
It is FREE! There is no cost for the after school program.
6th grade incoming students may receive REGISTRATION FORMS during 6th grade orientation; families will receive information about 6th grade orientation in the mail.
Registration Forms will be collected and handed-out during the first week of school, during lunchtime at a table set-up in the courtyard (don’t worry you’ll see it) and after school in the cafeteria.

Registration

When students turn in a Registration Form, they will receive a class Sign-up Form to fill out and get a parent signature in order to be fully registered. This is the student’s responsibility, to ensure their commitment to the program and should be done as soon as possible because space is limited.

Limited Space

If your student did not get his/her form in on time to get a space in the program, you must read the Wednesday Envelope to find out when the space is available (usually after about three weeks). There is no waiting list; enrollment is based on first come first serve.

Attendance

After school program attendance is voluntary. Parents are NOT notified when students are absent from the after school program; however, attendance is monitored. If you have any questions about your student’s attendance you MUST contact the after school program, Presidio at 831-6084 or Roosevelt at 221-4565.

Pick-Up/Dismissal

All students and parents must sign-out of program in person at the sign-out table in the cafeteria. Parents are encouraged to pick up students at either 5:00 or between 5:00 and 6:00. Students with permission to leave early may leave at any time, but are encouraged to stay until at least 5:00.

Enrichment & Academic Class Time

Students choose one class to participate in each day Monday through Thursday. Some choices may include: Homework Assistance, Hip Hop Dance, Breakdancing, Cartooning, Chess, Arts & Crafts, Leadership, or Video Production, etc. Classes are adapted every 9 weeks based on students’ interest and staff experience.
